Hospital or Home

Do you go to the hospital everytime your in crisis? My daughter has been in crisis for three days, She is eating and drinking, and I am using pain meds to control pain. She says she really dont want to keep going to the hospital. Any suggestions

I was told by a doctor (not sure how true this is) but the longer you wait the more damage you cause. From my experience you do no want her to have a bone crisis. It's got to be the worst pain in life!

If my pain meds aren't controlling it, and it doesn't go away in a day or 2, then I would go to the hospital. Though tedious, I've realized that when my regular pain meds don't control my crises, it's usually a symptom that something else is going on, like my Hgb is low, I have an infection or something like that. I would have her go to the hospital. I wish her strength.
