- Hi my name is Veon. Ok Can you PLease read my Diccussionand give me some advice? Um on 4 19-10 i went to the hospital and i got poked 7 differents times we had aked my doctor for a port because my veins are so bad and she told my mom no because it'll do more harm than good but im tired of every time i go to the hospital being poked so many times in the the e.r. one guy infultrated the vein in my mucsle and i t hurt for days. So in Your oppion what should i do?

Introducing...the Sickle Cell Warrior
Hi everyone! For those of you that don't know me, I'm a student, a practicing, registered nurse, a world traveler, a soon-to-be wife, a free spirit, a true Libra...and uh yeah, I happen to have sickle cell anemia.
Last year, I started my own personal sickle cell blog called Sickle Cell Can Kiss my A$$. This wonderful experience led me into meeting other sickle cell warriors, men, women and children that haven't let themselves stay in the box and be defined by their diagnosis. I've shared my personal experiences, made many good friends, heard about research, news and current experiments as well as finding out about Nicosan, an herbal remedy that has drastically improved my life, reduced my crises and given me no side effects!
I look forward to interacting with everyone here...and to Ade...u totally rock for starting this!
