How has living with sickle cell made an impact on your life?
I am adopted and it is an invisible part of me, but I voice it calmly and hopefully intelligently during crises.
What are you hoping to gain by joining the site?
To educate my fellow humans suffers and non-suffers alike that having this chronic genetic illness it is not a war of addiction to opiates but a hourly waiting game through the jungles of ERs and discriminatory medical field we have to fight to prove this invisible force can literally cripple us as we take one assured step then the next be on the ground...
As well as to learn more of anyone whom wants to share any tricks of the trade...tried and prove to help through dealing with this invisible disability.

That is awesome news Sujata! I hope it makes it through and is released soon. Do you have a link to more information about the trial? I would love to read more about it.
