New improved NICOSAN!!!?????

Ok so I came across this new herbal medication that claims to be the new improved NICOSAN. It is being manufacture in the states under the name of Xickle RBC-Plus. I had a look at the ingredients and it seems to be the same ingredients used in Nicosan. I tried to search some product reviews online and/or testimonials but couldnt find any. Also the medication seems to be relativley new in the market. I know Nicosan worked wonders on SCD people and I would love to try give it to my 2year old child but unfortunatly it is no longer available. Since my child is too young I wouldnt want to just try any drug on him that might have severe side effects on him therefore i decided to ask more about this herbal medicine through this site. Please do let me know any thing you know about this drug. My sons doctor is planning to start him on hydroxyurea next week. And currently he is on regular blood transfusion.

Don't know much about this "new Nicosan" but I just want to encourage you to stay strong for your son. He will be much better if you're there fighting for his good medical care. God bless.

Your son is still too young for the Nicosan...even the new and improved version. They haven't found the correct dose yet for children. Adults are supposed to take 4-6 capsules twice daily, and those capsules are huge! You can't dissolve or break them, so he has to be able to swallow them whole.

I haven't used this 'new' version, but I've used the original version from Nigeria with much success. I was crisis free for 2.5 years with the original formula. I know they claim it's the same thing, but I just started taking the 'new' version for 2 weeks and had to stop it due to other health issues.

Well the original version from nigeria is back in production and I was able to get a few months supply for pediatric dose. Do you think i should give it to my son or not yet?
