I was diagnosed with a blood clot in May 2008. My doctors started me on coumadin and lovenox injections. The blood clot went away but I started having a lot of problems with the blood thinners (coumadin) and had to be taken off of them. When I was taken off of the coumadin the clot came back. It has been very painful. I have a clot in my left groin and it causes my leg to swell. It is very painful and I am unable to walk when this happens. I have experienced post thrombotic syndrome. I am actually in the hospital right now and that is one of my diagnosis. Do you have any specific questions?
Yes! I get them all the time. You can see them sometimes, raised up on my skin. In my legs, arms, back, head. My wife is always afraid they will travel to my brain, lungs, heart etc.. I tell her it is all in Gods hands what will happen. I'm not afraid and I will not take all those experimental drugs.
I was diagnosed with blood clots my last admittance (about a month ago). Up until a 2 week ago I did not take it seriously. My doctors gave me a medication called Lovenox. I hated taking it and sometimes i would even skip doses because i got tired of sticking myself with needles twice a day. Then when i found out that people can die from having blood clots i did full turnaround on my way of thinking about it. I hope i can make up for the 2 weeks i DIDN'T take it.
i had a clot in my groin a few years ago from a line they put in for an exchange transfusion
and since they didnt want the clot to go to my heart they put in a Greenfield filter to i guess catch it when it moves
im doing ok now .... feels like it never happend but again that was a while ago
how have u been
and i hope u r well now
