I'm not for sure, but I do the same thing
I also forget my dreams but i wake up refreshed and strong
If you are dreaming, you are not sleeping and therefore your sleep pattern is in cycles instead of of a solid 6-8 hour pattern.
Interrupted sleep patterns will cause you to be tired even after sleeping long periods. You should try magnesium or ashwagandha just before bedtime to help you gain a deep sleep without any side effects upon waking.... Works for me, hope it will for you? God bless and Merry Christmas.
you should talk to your doctor before starting any medicine this guy mentions. magnesium can cause diarrhea and a host of other problems and i have never heard of the other medicine this guy has mentioned and i have worked in the medical field for the last 11 years.
also what he says about ..."if you are dreaming, you are not sleeping" is also not true. i won't address it but do your own research. if it really disturbs you then perhaps you should see a trained sleep specialist.
it is very common for people living with sickle cell disease to require more sleep than people who don't have the disease. in my case this seems to be more noticeable as i get older.
Hi, thats a great question because i suffer from the same issues... its increased since my crisises have increaed... i used to be more of an insomniac before.
any way in regards to the comment stating "if u are dreaming u are not sleeping" that is wrong, please do ont follow that. another person mentioned that you should researchit yourself and I agree. we all sleep in cycles every night and dreaming occurs in the cycle when we are really sleeping... but plase look into it further and if you find a definite answer to your question please post it.

Once, more, and again... If you are dreaming, you are NOT getting the sleep that is required for REST and REPAIR.
AKA Restorative Sleep...

Your body require DEEP sleep to function properly.
clearly you didn't listen to her. this is what the article that you point us all to says:
"The REM, or Rapid Eye Movement phase, in which dreaming occurs, is crucial for preserving memories, learning, creativity, problem solving and emotional balance, while deep, or slow-wave sleep, when the body releases human growth hormone, is necessary for physical development and repair."
dreaming happens in deep sleep. this is just a fact.
keep well!
thank you dawn, I was about to do the same thing.
Please do not offer advice when you are unsure of what you are saying. do more research for yourself, that goes to everyone here. Confusion only hurts it never helps anyone!!!
