I'm so tired dis morning, I could hardly get up and get my boys ready for school. My Grandma used to say I got tired blood....I use to always think that if I get to bed by maybe 9 or 10 I would be ok in the morning, that theory has long be unapproved. I take one a day and folic acid for some type of energy and yet I'm still unbelievably tired most of the times. I don't drink caffeine becuz I suffer from migraine so that is out of the question. Do anyone else have this problem and do anyone have any suggestions?

Much Luv
Trish

I have the same trouble with being overly tired. I just chalk it up as SCD related. Afterall, anemia does make one extremely lethargic and causes fatigue. I have those days a few times a week. I used to take B-Complex for my hair and nails, but that was also before I began getting sick again with crises after 12 years of being completely well and crisis free. Everybody thought I was healed all those years. I am going to start taking them again to see if it helps with energy. I have a 15 month old and she is busy. It takes all I have to keep up some days. I can't do caffeine or guarana either because it makes my heart race.

I had issues with high blood pressure last year, and it runs in my family, so I don't want to stress my heart unnecessarily just for the sake of a brief boost of energy. L-arginine sounds like a good idea. Its an amino acid(AA). I have some AA vitamins here that I need to get official about taking. I eat lots of fresh fruits and drink lots of water/pure juices but nothing seems to help. I am sick of this drained, too tired to do anything fun feeling. It really sucks having this disease in more ways than one.

Hey Trish,

It's just one of those days. I have them as well. Have you tried taking L-Arginine? Or even like Vitamin B complex? Sometimes, just some vitamins are enough to kickstart the day. My coworker is a huge believer in the B complex...she takes them religiously, and says it really helps to improve her energy. Just a thought.

I'm so not motivated today at all. I just want to lay in bed all day long. 'Sigh'

I know that drained feeling all too well. I find that fresh fruits help. Grapes, berries, and grapefruit are my favs. Eating hearty meals throughout the day also helps me while on the move, this way I don't get exhausted and lightheaded in public.

Deep breathing is another great exercise you can do to help feel more energized.... but pace yourself so you don't get winded.

Hi Trish,
Did you ever try something like Acai juice or one drink from Costa Rica called Carao Fruit? My son is taking this Carao for sometimes now, and you can find lots of information about it on the internet. Maybe you can try some yoga too.
I hope you fell better soon.
