Thank you that gives me hope!! I would like to see them make leeps and bounds to more options for those suffering from SCD. I really hope they find a cure soon!! :)Adriana

I know that scientist are experiementing with gene therapy as the ultimate cure for SCD. There will be a cure for SCD in our lifetime. Also, there are several promising treatments that are coming down the pike that will help people with SCD live even longer, healthier lives. Hope this helps.
