Hi, I have a female friend with Sickle Cell. She goes in and out of the hospital several times per year. She has a good support system. She has a college education, a full time job and she is a single parent of 2 children. The problem is that every time she goes into the hospital she gets behind on her bills because "she makes too much $ for any type of public assistance."
