I was right there thinking sickle cell was a curse. I went through that phase hardcore growing up, especially seeing my siblings healthy and never in pain. But after a while, my thinking readjusted, once i accepted that this was who i was and I had to learn to embrace it and deal with it. Having sickle cell is just a small facet of me, it doesn't define who I am.

One of the best things about sickle cell is that you learn the fine art of balancing your life. Some people take decades or lifetimes to learn this but you have learned to listen to your body, pace yourself and rest whenever your body demands. In essence you are actually a lot healthier than the type A's who just run, run, run until they stroke out.
yea i understand how exactly how u feel, i got two older siblings and both of aem are pretty healthy, hell one of em is a fitness trainer, and like u said i learned how to listen to my body and not to over exert myself, thx for responding!!
