Hello All-
My 41 year old brother is currently in the hospital with severe brain damage. He and I have the same type of sickle beta thalasemia. We were told that he is not going to make it. How do you deal with something like this? I have always watched him as we grew up be in a terrible amount of pain. Now he can not speak, or move his limbs. My heart hurts so bad for him and for his wife and children. I am sad that there is not a cure for this disease. I praise God for his supernatural power. Please pray for me and my family. My brother's name is Robert.

Hi Monica, I'm new here, so I just read about your brother. I just want to tell you that when you think about your brother, remember the great moments you guys had together. He'll always be alive in your heart.
I am so sorry for your lost. My prayers are with you and your family. Your brother is in a better place now where there is no more hurt or pain. Suffering from the disease yourself I'm sure you know like most of us on this site how painful the crisis are. God saw his suffering and said "NO MORE".....his job on earth is done. He now sits at the right hand of our Father God Almighty where there is peace and tranquility. I know you will miss his physical being but his love will be with you always.
That's so sad. My thoughts are with your family.
Here is my brother's memorial and video tribute. Please feel free to view if you would like. Thank you for your prayers.
