Pain medication causing a decrease in libido/sexual desire?

I never thought I'd be here but I have to ask the community.Has anyone here had personal experience with decreased libido/sexual desire that they can trace to their pain medication? If so, have you found any ways to address or even correct the problem?I have taken dilaudid for my regular Sickle Cell pain (crisis pain or various types of pain due to skin ulcers). In 2021, I added methadone at a lower frequency but increased coverage of the pain. Both of them worked effectively together.Fast…See More

Let me preface this post by saying that first, I am specifically interested in hearing the *bad* stories about Sickle Cell patient responses to the COVID-19 vaccines. Second, I'm mostly interested in hearing about adverse reactions to the mRNA vaccines, e.g. Pfizer/Bio-N-Tech's and Moderna's vaccines. "Bus driving is horribly demanding on the body. Sitting is the new smoking. Ever had DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis)? It kills "normal" people. Sicklers have a higher chance of experiencing it due to the clotting. I'm lucky it didn't…"

How has living with sickle cell made an impact on your life?
It has damaged my kidneys, giving me stage 2 kidney disease which will require a transplant sometime in the next 5 years. I live knowing that insufficient sleep, as can be common in my line of work, can cause skin ulcers on my feet.
What are you hoping to gain by joining the site?
Insight about new treatments, especially for Sickle Cell skin ulcers, and ideas for dealing with kidney disease caused by Sickle Cell.
