My Sickle Cell Foundaton & Initiatives

Connect with me!! My name is Robert Mackey and I'm a carrier of the SC Trait. My mother, Lydia Smith has the disease and 2 years ago, I created a foundation in her namesake the Lydia Smith Sickle Cell Foundaton. This year we launch the Lydia Smith Patient Assistance Fund for Sickle Cell in the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Services System, to benefit patients w/ financial struggles. Check out this video and hopefully we can support each other on this journey to find relief and eventually an affordable cure. I'm looking forward to connecting with everyone.
