Get regular prenatal care, eat healthy, exercise, stop worrying and think positive. I find that when I think positive about situations I always end up with positive results. You and the baby shall be fine.

Find out if the father has sickle cell too (get blood tested).  You should know if your baby will suffer too.  Also, start pre-natal care now.  You gotta have your blood & health managed early. Get serious about vitamins, eating, rest, and NO Stress. Treat yourself like a delicate glass vase (handle with care).

Then, relax and enjoy the journey...God bless you and your baby ;-)

stay away from hydroxyurea. it can cause fetal damage. the forum titled "Pregnancy" might help and the people posting in there could give good advice as well
