5mg? Thats kinda high. Im ordered to take 1000mcg. But it does help i believe it widens the veins so theres less of a chance to get stuck.....but take my word it helps
i took them when i was smaller....but when i turned ten i was like eff pills... i didn't feel any different and i'm not a fan of takin pills forevermore.my body tells me what to do and i do it lol its crazy cause the foods i eat almost everyday is somehow enriched in folic acid

I've been taking it everyday for as long as I can remember. Just turned 40 a few weeks ago - so I guess it's not doing any harm.
Well I guess I'm the odd one out, because I don't take folic acid, actually the reason I stopped taking it is because it makes my body feel funny and since my consultant haematologist told me it don't matter and not too @ssebandeke FYI people with sickle-cell should not take iron supplement/tonic/tablets........
Jamilla thank you for your blog i also take folic acid every day and a pain killer called diclofenac. Yes this is normal and it helps in increasing the iron in the body.

I take it almost every day, I don't worry if I miss a day, but I'm pretty consistant. I also take (not every day) vitamin C (helps immunity), A & D, & multi-vitamins. Gotta keep up that prevention fight too.
