What Complications has sickle cell caused you,personally?

Honestly, right now I feel like the sickle cell NOT whats "afflicting" me but the side complications.
3yrs ago I had a DTV in my lower left extremity.(i had a blood clot on my left thigh).

Before this I barely felt the "pain". I had a few crisis,nothing that a lil Tylenol #3 couldn't fix. But now things are so...*sigh*

So I want to know, what other complications ave you gotten and do you agree that the complications are worse than the actual sickle cell?

I have developed heart failure and pulmonary hypertension as a result of sickle cell , before this i had no problems with sickle cell, no serious crises and no need for blood transfusons for a very long time until now. From last October i have to get transfused every time my hb falls below 5 and my hb seems to be at a constant 6 and doesn't ge any higher .When a crisis hits i get to five and below. I've also had to have blood transfusions about every 4 mths since then and when my hb is at 5 or less my breathing is really bad.
so yeah i do agree that the complications are what cause the most problems and not necessarily SCD on its own

im 25 and have had lots of complications but i personally blame the Sickle Cell cause with out the disease to cause comp. there would be no comp.
a few of my complications due to the SC is
Chronic pain
Stroke
Depression
anxiety
blot clots
acute chest jut to name a few
