I have not, but my spleen is always inflamed. My daughter's spleen is almost completely damaged but her doctors say they won't remove it until it is completely non functioning???? weird?????

yea...the same thing happened when i was 8. the doctors waited until it was inflamed or enlarged to take it out didnt make sense back then either :/

I had an autosplenectomy. I'm not sure when it occurred as I wasn't under a doctor's care for sickle cell until I was in my twenties.

I have had my spleen, gallbladder and appendices out when I was 9 years old I’m now 24.
