HI
If I am the lest bit tired, or cold, or or thirsty, I get those things taken care of right away. If you don't hear from me right away, its because either I am very busy, or tired. I will answer all your questions if you would gather them together for me, and I could answer them all at once.

It is important to live a great life, and do the right thing. Do no't focus on any health problems, rather focus on the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are God's creation and you are one of a kind. Always take the high road. Love God, with all your heart, and your neighbor as yourself.
Reach out a helping hand. these are the rules I live by.

Best wishes,
Mrs Diamond
Hi Mrs. Diamond, I have 37 years old and I have had quite a bout fighting sickle cell. I want to know if you have developed any other ailments as a result of sickle cell. I have developed avascular necrosis, deep vein thrombosis (blood clot), splenomegaly and interstitial cystitis (just to name a few). If you have developed other ailments have they had a great impact on your sickle cell crisis?
Hello,
I am Ernestine Diamond, I just stumbled upon your blog. I am 82 years old, and had my first crisis at the age of 3 months. I would be happy to answer any questions you might want to ask me.

Can you tell us some of your secrets to good health and longevity?
Hello Ma, Hope u don't mind me calling you that. Any thing else would just sound a little disrespectful. Just want to give you a little inform on who i am, i have the sickle trait so does my husband, we have two son of which our youngest has the full sickle. He is only 3 months old at the moment and as you can imagine i have some fears and worries for what the future holds. We live in the UK and are lucky to have access to a good health care system the NHS you may have herad about it. Our son was put on Pencillian and folic when he was 10 weeks. It would be great to hear back from you with tyips and any advice you can pass down.

Kindest regards

HI,
Yes, you may call me whatever you like. Ma is fine. Please take precautions and consult a genetic counselor before having more children challenged by sickle cell disease. It is a horrific disease, you wouldn't want to see your child getting deathly sick at any given time with a debilitating, and life threatning sickle cell crisis all the time.I will join you in prayer for your children.

Love,
Ernestine
Six of my husbands siblings have Sickle cell as i do ,but the oldest would have to be his sister and she's 38
We should all be encouraged by the increasing longevity of those living with sickle cell disease. The last 100 years did bring lots of major improvements. The next 100 yrs also holds lots of promises for us.
Sickle cell disease are associated with persistent fetal hemoglobin is associated with improved longevity.
My mum is 75 years old and she has sickle cell disease, my older brother also has SCD and he's 42 years, I'm also 38 dis April.
