The longest time I've ever spent in the hospital was 3 months. I was in ICU and had to have a Blood Exchange. The normal time for me is 1-2 weeks with IV meds, fluids and blood transfusions.
The longest I have been in for a crisis and complications thereof was 6 weeks or a month and a half. I was also pregnant with my daughter (1st and only child) at the time. It was HORRIBLE.
My wife has Sickle Cell. She is 31. She goes back and forth to the hosp on average every 4 days. We have 2 children. What ways that your husband deals with your sickle cell?

The longest I have spent in hospital is 6 days. I have never been admitted for just a crisis alone. I was being treated for malaria with quinine IV . My entire body felt like it had just shut down.
2 weeks approximately 13 days was the max for me. It was probably my worst crisis ever. I literally could not walk, both of my legs were just out. And at the time, I kept getting migraines.
My longest time was 5weeks. I was 10yrs old and in a major crisis, then was diagnosed with advanced avascular necrosis of my hip. I also had a fever of unknown origin, so there was ongoing test to rule out meningitis and systemic infections. Once discharged, it was decided that surgery would not be the safest way so I had to wear a hip brace for 8months to rotate my hip back into the proper alignment.
