Hello everyone, i usually have trouble controlling my pains or crisis and because i get so nervous and reckless,it worsens my case.. I need some advice to help myself.

Try deep breathing or any good relaxation techniques to get your mind off the pain. I know it is really hard but try. I listen to music, get on the laptop-play around, go workout, etc. Any hobbie that you have, put it to use. I like to read but that does not help for me. Did I mention massage therapy, if you have a significant other, use them, tell them to maggage/rub the area. Hope this helps some. Have a pain free day.

I cosign what Marcus said. I usually can't concentrate on anything tangible when in pain, so I watch movies, TV or listen to the radio, anything that can blitz around me and allow me to focus on something besides the pain. If the movie is good enough, it can sustain my attention until my pain meds kick in. My significant other gives me massages, warming pads help as well.
I like what the two are saying when I'm in pain I lay on my stomach on the floor near the heater and covers over me then I talk to my dog who stays by me no matter what we sleep together when I'm in pain. She helps me fall asleep and she wont let my little brother touch me when I'm sleep or in pain I was shocked when she growled at him and gave him a nibble when he tried something.
