How has living with sickle cell made an impact on your life?
My son is 18 and he has sickle cell. He has led a fairly healthy life with occasional crisis, gall bladder removal and pneumonia. I joined this site in order to remain aware of the advances made with the fight in this disease. Also, I always like to hear the success stories of those living with sickle cell and lastly I just appreciate a support group. Although, I do not suffer from this disease I want to learn all I can in order to help my son, Jhalil, live a long and productive life.
