Hello everyone. I have SS beta thalasemia, enlarged heart and possible iron overload. Throughout the years I have put on 60+ pounds. I recently began working out. My question is is it okay for me to workout 5 days per week and strength train 3 days. I also get headaches after some workouts why ? Peace and blessings .

Hey Marita, I think that you should probably start off slow, maybe 3 days a week and then work your way from there. Also see this related post about working out :

So the headaches are probably due to the increased blood pressure after all that activity, you should probably take it a little easier. This may be cliche but you need to work out smart not hard. There is a 10 min work out by tony horton that should be really good. look on doctoroz.com for a free version of his 10 minute workout.
