I am a 26 yr. old female living with SCD (SS). I have read many things on Type (SS) being most common and most severe form of sickle. For the past 3 almost 4 months to this day, I have had crisis nearly every day. I can probably only tell you about 3-4 days I was pain free. I have plowed through so many pain pills and I ended up in the ER once. Because I work full time, 40 hrs a week and I’m in school 3 hours a day, I am always on the go, so I try my best to push through the pain and get on with the day. I have been told many times I over work myself. But if I don’t do it, it will not get done. I was diagnosed at the age of 3 yrs but my parents knew I had (SS) around the time of birth. I was diagnoses with (RA), Rheumatoid Arthritis in both my arms and legs just around my 21st birthday. And the summer of my 23rd birthday I was told I had (AVN) Avascular Necrosis in both of my hips. I have had many procedures to help, but the treatments have only been temporary. It seems to get worse for me with age. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters none of which have the disease and only one of each are full blood that carry they trait. We have looked into Bone Marrow Transplant and even saving my full blood sisters placenta and cord blood from all 3 pregnancies but the doctors have not found something that my body will accept. I have been able to rid my body of most common toxic medications and I’m only taking Hydroxyurea and Folic Acid for my SS and Methotrexate for my RA. I take over the counter Vitamins like E, D, B and Mega Reds as well. I am more into holistic healing so I Meditate, low exercise, on a strict diet and only drink water with occasional Herbal Teas, Natural Juices and Milk. I still have not been able to control my pain and even with meds, it’s just masked, never fully gone. I’m here seeking advice from anyone who understands this feeling, has anyone ever been in this much pain or even in pain this long? Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone have as much trouble as I do just doing daily things that others take for granted? Like getting up and ready in the morning or even just walking from your car to work or to class. My doctors are worried I have so much pain and not sure why I hurt ALL the time. My guess was that’s just the definition of Chronic Pain.

I'm going through the same thing. The older I get, the worst my pain is getting. I was working fulltime, found me a part time job and now I'm in so much pain that I can barely get through a 20 hour work week. I just don't know what to do. I feel like I'm losing this battle and I have never felt this way before.I just don't know what's next for me. I have been blessed enough to make it to 35 years old, 14years of marriage, and two wonderful boys. I just don't know what to do about all this pain.....

I am so sorry to hear that, you are such a strong person. Mine hasnt been that bad but i got to a point where i was willing to try anything cause getting up to go to work was a task cause of constant knee pain and I would take a couple of pain meds before sleeping just to be able to wake up without the pain but didnt always work. I would suggest you try Dioscovite if you haven't yet, I don't think u have anything to lose at this point so why not. you can order it here: http://www.dioscovite1.com/

stay strong, the lord hasn't brought u this far to leave u
